If you haven't yet watched Proenza Shoulers Spring 2010 line I suggest you watch it now. The colours, fabrics, textures, are ah-mazing. They have done a fantastic job at throwing together ready-to-wear pieces, but I ask you fashion readers this simple question, what are designers inspired by? Obviously this is NOT a simple question. Without a doubt designers can be inspired by a million different things, Marc Jacobs favours modern art, just as an example, but could it be that Porenza Shouler was maybe slightly inspired by the highest grossing movie of all time, AVATAR? With all the fabulous colours that made up the make-believe world that is Pandora, it's not a wonder that a designer could be inspired by this. Lazaron Hernandez and Jack McCullough however, do say that they were inspired by the West Coast and the Sea, I also can help but wonder that there was a little AVATAR inspiration as well, take a look for yourself and let us know who or what you think they were inspired by and WHO ARE YOU I N S P I R E D BY?
