the land of le francais.
Just a little inspiration for those of you who think fashion recongnition in Canada is lacking...
My DailyCandy email came in on Saturday with it's usual "What to do in NYC - Weekend Plan". They send one out every weekend and I often just browse it to see if there's anything that peaks my interest for my trip in August, this weekend however something caught my eye. Under their "VISIT" segment it sujested a weekend trip to Quebec and praising it for it's culture and up and coming fashion scene. I knew the East would make more of an impact before the West but we've gotta start somewhere and this is a start.
Why do you guys think that Vancouver or Canada hardly gets any recongnition for its fashion!?

Karl Knows Best.

BEST. FASHION. SHOWS.
bland ready to wear shows? Karl begs to differ.
From a carousel with the CHANEL logo printed all over it and his models draped in classic CHANEL outfits rotating for the fashion elite to see, or a scene out of a fairy tail with a barn like structure and models parading in clogs and spring time fashions and to his most recent show of Fall/Winter 2010 with imported icebergs from Scandinavia and water covering the runway as models strut down in faux fur classic CHANEL suits, Karl does ready to wear like no other.

mcqueen dream

Take a moment to be refreshed by the last great works of Alexander McQueen. Posted on the style.com website was the 80% finished works of Alexander McQueen. He was inspired by the Dark Ages but he was able to find the beauty and light. He wanted to go back to drapping and classic fashions that the fashion world is drifting away from.
Here are a few outfits from his Fall Winter 2010.
